What a sham this product from WRL foods in Salt Lake City isn’t even worth the package it came in. The package looked good but only the outer 2 slices had meat. Oscar Mayer is especially noteworthy for this as there seems to be a 2.5 inch difference in the length of their bacon inside the package versus outside of the package.
Bought 20 packages of this stuff couple weeks ago.

We bought 2 lbs of pure fat called “bacon” , and we ended up with 1/3 lb of edible product out of 2 lbs.

Not much meat, lots of fat, and yes, I love the fat too. The first of our subjective measurements, I cannot stress enough that bacon saltiness should be in proportion to the overall flavor of the meat. It was sliced in a way that made it look as though the machine, or person, slicing it was blind, had no regard for good slicing. Due to the low price I feel I am getting the better end of this deal. Too much fat in bacon means low quality bacon. However, even if it is the cheapest in the store, I refuse to EVER buy Big Buy Bacon ever again unless they get there heads out of where ever there at and do the bacon justice as it should be done.
How does bacon from the grocery store compare to all the expensive “gourmet bacon” that we sell online? While not exactly the same, it seems closely enough related that choosing one of these brands will work for this comparison.

Tried the cheesy bacon fries at McDonald’s yesterday. Flavor robustness and saltiness are subjective measurements; in many ways these characteristics are a matter of personal preference although a high quality bacon will undoubtedly have a flavor that knocks the eater out of the park. The first month is Hickory Smoked Bacon, the Second is Apple Cinnamon, and the third is Raspberry Chipotle.
I would say 90% fat not much on taste.
